To our incredible community of Malloc users,
Every single day, you trust Malloc to act as the personal mobile fortress for your digital life. Because of your feedback and support, our app has successfully blocked millions of threats globally — silently shielding your devices from advanced zero-click spyware (like Pegasus and Predator), blocking invasive data trackers, and cutting off dangerous phishing attempts.
You already have best-in-class defense inside your device.
But over the last year, our team has been monitoring a massive, aggressive shift in the global cybersecurity landscape. Censors, public Wi-Fi administrators, and local internet service providers have completely changed the rules of online privacy.
Today, networks are deploying advanced Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) filters. Even though standard VPN encryption keeps the contents of your data payload secure, these smart filters can easily identify the distinct cryptographic footprint left by traditional VPN protocols. Once spotted, they instantly throttle your speed or block your connection entirely — effectively forcing you to turn your protection off just to get online.
We refuse to let a network firewall compromise your security. That is why this June, we are taking everything you love about Malloc’s device protection — and making it far harder for those filters to identify.
Moving From a Shield to a Ghost: What’s Changing?
This June, we are rolling out a major, ground-up upgrade to our network infrastructure. We are moving away from standard, highly visible VPN tunnels and replacing them with a state-of-the-art Xray VLESS + Reality stealth proxy stack.
Here is exactly what this means for you:
1. Network Camouflage
Instead of wrapping your internet traffic in a loud protocol that advertises a VPN, our new system camouflages your connection. When you tap to connect, the protocol mimics a standard, everyday secure handshake to a trusted global website (like Apple or Microsoft). To a firewall or state-level censor, this looks like regular web browsing, and it is much harder to single out traffic that is difficult to distinguish from regular internet traffic.
2. Future-Proof Post-Quantum Encryption
We are also targeting a major emerging cyber threat known as “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” (HNDL). Threat actors frequently record encrypted traffic today so they can use future quantum computers to decode it later. Our new transport layer natively integrates post-quantum encryption standards, hardening your data against both present and future computing threats.
3. Seamless Integration with Your Data Shield
The best part? You don’t have to change a thing. This stealth routing architecture will be fused natively right behind your existing one-tap mobile interface. Your AI-powered Spyware Scanner, ad-blocking, anti-phishing filters, and Connection Reports will continue working in the background.
What You Need to Do
Absolutely nothing right now. This upgrade is being engineered directly into our existing application framework.
Keep an eye out for our official app store updates as we head into June. The moment the update drops, simply update your app, tap the connection button, and experience the new stealth routing. More about the current setup is on our Malloc VPN page.
Thank you for being part of the Malloc journey and allowing us to protect what matters most.
Something invisible is coming. Stay secure,
The Malloc Team
